Menzie, Turner & Co,
Toronto, Ontario
Private Post Card
The Flag that braved a thousand years
postally used from Toronto on Dec 26, 1901
with a 1¢ QV Numeral stamp, uncancelled
to H.W. Stephens & Son, Glencairn, Ontario
Below, the reverse of the card
showing a Glencairn split ring cancellation dated December 27, 1901
The card bears a rubber stamp impression on front and back reading “MENZIE MFG. CO. Limited”, apparently indicating the dissolution of Menzie Turner since the initial publication of the postcard, which may have been about 1898, judging from the similarities to the J.C. Wilson design of that period.
